Following the FIRE principle, investing is done in low-cost index funds. These funds are low-risk as it is a basket of many stocks in one fund. This is historically proven to be the best strategy for wealth building.

1. ETF Providers

The most well-known ETF providers are Vanguard, Fidelity, BlackRock and Charles Schwab. Advantages with these providers are low-cost investment options and extensive research tools.

2. Low-cost Funds

To choose which low-cost fund to invest in, do you research and check how it performed historically and look into the costs for the fund. The most popular funds are the Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF and S&P 500.

3. Brokerages

When choosing a brokerage look at the tax advantages provided and the cost of the broker. Vanguard, BlackRock, Fidelity and Charles Schwab are good options. Others may be DeGiro, Robinhood and BrandNewDay.
